Outreach: Missions

 

                    

                                Theme Passage 2012:  Ephesians 3:  14-21                              

 
14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 
15 from whom every family[a] in heaven and on earth derives its name. 
16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 
17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 
18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 
19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
 20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 
 
 
21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.

 

 

DRC Mission and Purpose Statements:

The Mission Team provides organization and intercession in order to mobilize the people and resources at DRC to share Christ with the local, national and international community.

 

·       DRC missions will be local, nation and international as described in Great Commission.
·       DRC missions will support the work of the Word and the Spirit, not limited to a denomination or organization.
·       DRC missions will support the individual and family who have evidenced a call to the mission field.
·       DRC missions supports the family, as it is meant to reflect Christ’s relationship to the church.
·       DRC missions will support individuals that are acting as ambassadors of Christ on behalf of a church body.
·       DRC missions will support the sharing of Christ, not merely the sharing of culture.
·       DRC missions will support individuals who work under the umbrella of an organization that is committed to the mission of DRC.
·       DRC missions will support individuals and families who will be accountable to DRC in word and action.
 
 
In every month that has a fifth Sunday, there will be an offering taken at the end of the worship service in which all monetary gifts go directly to support mission activities.
